Welcome to The Precision Projects People Site for Technical Skills

WHO ARE YOU?
If you're a freelance IT/Comms contractor, or simply have some spare capacity in your working life, this site is here for you to register your skills and availability, with your fee expectations.

You might want to work globally/online, only on your home patch, or be prepared for travel and overseas contracts. This site will be useful in any case.

If you want to be a referrer of business, you can earn a sensible fee for helping to match customers to contract staff. For more information on this aspect, email "ppp@briercliffe.com"

WHO ARE WE?
We have a strong track record gained over many years of placing project managers in key slots, (often as troubleshooters when projects have gone pear-shaped) and now we're extending this capability.

AND WHERE ... ?
We currently have people based in UK, Ireland, throughout USA, Australia, NZ, Canada, mainland Europe, and Middle East .... more will follow ....

PART OF THE BRIERCLIFFE ENTERPRISE NETWORK
Mike Briercliffe, the founding partner of this site (www.briercliffe.com) has a wide array of global connections through social networks in addition to the "black book" of 33 years in IT. LinkedIn, Ecademy and Twitter (tweet: mikejulietbravo) are his key tools in the socnet arena.

THIS IS NOT A NORMAL MASS MARKET CONTRACTING SERVICE
We will match the project to the person on a one-to-one basis and to get into our top flight, where the bulk of the opportunity is, you'll either be already known to be good, or have to prove yourself to be so. We use a personal referencing method based on social networking connections to establish an initial reputation score for you and then change that in either direction in the light of experience.

If you're known to the partners already, it'll be easier to quickly get into lucrative projects.

HOW DO YOU GET PAID?
We tailor the contract itself to the precise circumstances, usually with the contractor billing the client directly.

SITE IN BUILD-UP PHASE
The public site will go live when we have a sufficient registration base on this one, though in the meantime Mike and his colleagues will use the information registered here as a key source of information when filling roles that arise in the short-term.

REGISTER NOW
Please register and answer all questions as fully as you can. Also leave a CV for more detail.

Over and out

Spread the word to trusties Ian. The goal of this site is to build a community of contractors where their introducers are cut into the revenue streams in perpetuity. Can be a profitable sideline.

I have looked up www.crispthinking.com , and I note with pleasure that they do police checks on candidate employees. Having spent 35-odd years in the UK, the police there should (not!) have a record of me. I also have a "Working With…

LOL! Pounds, shillings and ounces. As a youngster, I was taught that it was about 2,000 miles, which is much the same distance of course. (I have been through so many metrications that I now think freely in both Imperial and Metric, and sometimes…

I have a company - Crisp Thinking - www.crispthinking.com - that is a possible user of your remote coding skills. I'll see what occurs as we go on.

So 3070/3087 is about what I said in pounds and ounces isn't it? Thought it might be more than that from Perth to Sydney. I once flew over it and had 3 meals on the way, courtesy of SAA

We got our first "live" score today. Rob Heeley, who signed up yesterday, applied on my advice to a company in Leeds UK today and got a 40 day project at £350 a day. Survival rations - but that's what was required.

I cheated: I used some world maps, using a foot rule and map scales. To edge of Turkey from the Gower: 3087 Km. Perth to Sydney using the same technique: 3070 Km, both as the crow flies. Of course, neither use of my foot rule followed a great…
